What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is exactly what it sounds like: fans gathered together in a single list to show their love for a particular subject. A website is not required to join; the only information needed is a name and a country though many fanlistings also require a valid email address.

About the song

Exceeding six minutes in length, "Paranoid Android" is Radiohead's longest song and amongst their most popular. It is featured on the 1997 album, OK Computer as the second track.

Its structure is partly inspired by The Beatles song, "Happiness is a Warm Gun". Thom Yorke explained that the song was originally three incomplete songs that the band decided to combine together after having thought of "Happiness is a Warm Gun", which contained multiple sections.

Like much of Radiohead's music, the meaning of "Paranoid Android" remains oblique and highly debated. The lyrics were written after a chaotic experience in a Los Angeles bar. Yorke has stated that the song is about the fall of the Roman Empire.

Many references are made to The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The song's title is named after one of the novel series' characters, Marvin the Paranoid Android. The line "When I am king, you'll be the first against the wall" references the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, an organization that had built Marvin.
